Electric Project Supervisor

The Job:
An electric project supervisor is accountable for leadership, management and supervision of a project. He or she is responsible for safe installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry.

The project supervisor is accountable for the on-site supervision of assigned construction projects, trade contractors, and field personnel so that a project is completed within established budget, time frame, quality and performance standards, and customer/client satisfaction. He or she is directly responsible for managing others working on the project. Other responsibilities include ensuring that materials, tools and equipment are scheduled in a timely manner to meet scope, budget and project construction schedules; reviewing project documents, plans and specifications; directing construction activities and resolving construction difficulties; coordinating field installations and project close-outs; and maintaining customer/client relationships. The work must be accomplished within standard operating procedures, project costs, time constraints, and quality standards. The supervisor is also responsible for annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel if directed to do so.

Education: High school/college graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience. A journeyman's license is required.

Experience: Six or more years of field supervision/management experience required.
