An electrician's helper works under the supervision of an electrician. This includes assisting with installations, alterations, additions and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment. The person must keep his or her tools orderly, maintain a clean work area at all times, demonstrate safe work habits, and exhibit proper care for all tools and equipment. The person must also be willing to enroll in an electric apprenticeship program or start 1st year electrical apprenticeship classes.
Education: High school graduate or G.E.D.
Experience: This is an entry-level position; experience is not required.
